  • Overview

    Reporting to the VP, Stores, the Regional Leader is responsible for leadership and day to day execution for 50+ cafes within 4-6 Districts, comprised of approximately 800 Peetniks. Regional Leaders are responsible for setting clear expectations for execution against Peet’s operating standards, delivering financial results, and developing a high performing team of District Leaders and Store Managers.  They must lead this team to passionately deliver on our service and quality commitments to our customers. 

     

    Responsibilities

    Execution

    • The Regional Leader is responsible for overall execution in their stores through daily operational excellence. This includes:
    • Placing the right people in the right roles
    • Ensuring proper position training across the region
    • Implementing Peet’s Playbook (policies, procedures and operational standards) and maintaining a high level of execution against these standards
    • Leading the execution of product and brand initiatives
    • Driving exceptional customer service including friendliness, cleanliness, speed of service and drink quality
    • Maintaining a working knowledge of the trade area to build relationships and drive revenues

     

    Leadership

    • The Regional Leader is responsible for creating an engaged and high performing team through coaching and direction. This includes:
    • Modeling Peet’s values, culture and leadership behaviors
    • Setting clear objectives and holding teams accountable to high performance expectations
    • Regularly providing constructive feedback and coaching to direct reports
    • Creating compelling development plans and career opportunities for direct reports and high potential leaders
    • Leading and inspiring a rich culture of execution, training, development and high-performance
    • Partnering with leadership and the support center to secure and allocate resources for the region
    • Informing decisions and providing critical feedback to partners in the home office

     

    Results

    • The Regional Leader is responsible for creating a profitable region where all productivity, sales, people and financial targets are met. This includes:
    • Clearly communicating expectations for performance standards to all team members
    • Delivering positive sales, traffic and profit results for both existing and new cafés
    • Delivering against established customer feedback metrics
    • Attaining employee training, development and turnover targets
    • Ensuring brand initiatives are implemented and performing to set targets

    Qualifications

    • Five years of experience as a multi-unit manager for a premium food service or retail provider
    • Prior P&L management
    • Proven track record in driving results and developing teams
    • Action-oriented with a proven ability to turn ideas into results
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to build relationships across the organization
    • Confidence, Energy and a Passion for both coffee and people
    • Ability to travel within Region and to Peet’s Home Office on a regular basis
    • BA Preferred 
    • Soft skills needed.
    • Knowledge and proficiencies.
    • Any previous experience necessary or preferred.
